Welcome to Luca Serra Wood Carvings. Woodcarver and Sculptor based in Northumberland National Park on the edge of Kielder Forest.

Sardinian born Luca is an artist and craftsman who creates unique and original sculptures using locally sourced wood. Working entirely by hand, Luca creates individual pieces inspired essentially by nature and music. He believes that you need to feel the wood to understand what is hidden in the grain , his experience is that hand carved pieces of wood are more warmer than those made by machine . Luca works with various types of wood as each one has its own strength and character.

Carving every day, he creates one off pieces for various exhibitions and also for specific commissions. You can buy an original piece or contact Luca for individually commissioned work.
